These guys are part of the restoration team engaged by ASI. They certainly work in a life-threatning environment. There's a dingy room which is full of bags that contain lime stones. These are crushed and to form powder, and later water is added to the powder to form hydrated lime - I think Ca+OH2.This hydrated lime mixed with mortar is used to restore certain parts of the falling monuments.
The process of crushing the small lime stones is hazardous as the powder just forms layer in their body, and this happens almost everyday.
